Leaders take action!
Action is a great momentum builder. Once we act it is easier to make progress. So, in a sense, acting is not the hard part.
The hard part is where to begin!
Where to begin, or start, consists of many things. Before we start to take action we begin thinking about what we want to do. When we think about what we want to do we begin to realize how hard that thing may be to accomplish, so we begin planning.
When we start planning, we see how many ways our plan can go wrong. And we begin having second thoughts. Once second thoughts creep in, it is time to summon the courage to act.
Once we summon the courage to act, we realize failure is a possibility, so we must summon more courage to fail.
Action is merely a by-product of “starting”.
Start dreaming.
Start thinking.
Start planning.
Start summoning courage. Then, finally…
Take action!
